Ms. Sakshi Chadha Dasgupta, Senior Thematic Advisor, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Ms. Monalisa Sen from ICLEI South Asia participated in the ‘Building a culture of urban sustainability: from technology and innovation to arts and music, from Earth Day to Beethoven’s Pastoral’ session at the ongoing World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi on the 12th of February 2020.

In the session, the outcomes and learnings from the CapaCITIES project were highlighted. The project presentation focused on the success the project has achieved in mainstreaming climate action into urban planning using technological interventions. ICLEI South Asia is one of the implementation partners along with South Pole Carbon Management Ltd. and econcept AG.

Speaking on the same lines, Ms. Dasgupta discussed SDC’s focus and vision on climate change and action. She further highlighted the need for collaborative action across all levels of governance to address climate change. Both the presentations were very well received by the audience.
