Corporation’s dumping yard area, spread over four hectare in Tithardi, is going to be made completely hygienic. The dumping yard behind the kine house will be made usable by capping the yard. Nagar Nigam, Udaipur will soon start the work of capping and flooring of the yard once the tender of Rs. 5, 000, 000 is floated.
Significantly, the garbage collected from across the city was dumped here, due to which a huge pile of waste was gathered. Therefore, having a kine house nearby could lead to spreading diseases in cows, and the nearby residential area.
The corporation had fixed a place in Baleecha, instead of Tithardi, to dump dead animal skin after Dainik Bhaskar raised the issue of cow deaths in the kine house.
Dumping yard, which is spread over four hectare, will be completely covered with soil. The atmosphere will be made more hygienic by plantation of trees.
The garbage in the dumping yard has completely decomposed, and can be made useful by covering it with a non-perforated sheet.
Chief engineer Arun Vyas said that a compost turner machine was brought from Switzerland to improve the dumping yard. There is no waste left after the testing of the machine, and the Nagar Nigam can use the land to expand the cowshed after capping the waste in the yard.
